What is continuation of pay (COP)?

Return to FAQs

Transcript:

Continuation of pay or commonly known as COP is a payment by the employer for the first 45 days that the employee is out of work. If you’re injured you would file your claim or your notice of injury and if your doctor takes you out of work for those first 45 days your employer would be the one to make the payment. After that it would be up to the office of worker’s comp programs to pay for the 46th day onward.
