What steps are involved with the process of obtaining OPM disability retirement benefits?

There’s three main parts to the OPM disability application. It’s the employee portion, the physician portion, and the employer portion. All those have to be completed and provided to the OPM office of personnel management. However, you also must apply for Social Security disability and make that part of application.
