What is a schedule award?

Return to FAQs

Transcript:

A schedule award is a payment for the permanent impairment that the injured worker has sustained. It’s based upon the evaluation performed utilizing a particular book or manual, the sixth edition of the AMA guides. For instance, if you have a knee injury and then the doctor says you’re about as good as you’re going to get that doctor can then go ahead and determine the impairment that you’ve sustained and then that can be submitted to the Department of Labor for a determination of a schedule award.
